Oahu...

We had the chance to go meet Nic's parents at Oahu this past weekend. It was a fun trip, with new sites that we have not yet seen. PEARL HARBOR! Nic's dad served in the Navy for a while, and was stationed in Hawaii. It was fun to see his face as the memories came flowing back. This is a small version of the sub that Poppy served on. Ty was bummed he was too little to walk onto the sub, so we admired it from a distance. First look at the memorial. TONS OF NAMES!!! The views of the Arizona, There is a certain hush there. When you look at the water you can see and smell oil, there is oil still leaking from this vent. This is the viewing well The map of the ship, as you can see we only are on a small portion of the ship, The memorial is the big white part. The other boats docked around the Harbor that they use today. I am so thankful to all those men and woman who have served in the navy, army, marines, any part of the forces, that they risk their lives to keep us Free! I have a stronger respect for them now!

That is awsome! So pretty, I wish we could have gone and seen that. It makes me sad! But so neat that they have that to remember those people!
