Randomness...

So this is from forever ago... but my parents just sent it to me, while we were there for Christmas, the kids wanted to play in the snow so bad... they also wanted to be able to ride their bikes still.... so what did good old grandpa do??? He took extra time in the cold, and plowed a path in the sports court for them to ride on. He is such a good grandpa! I love you dad! Baby Shay's favorite thing to eat while at my mom's was the yummy brown cow yogurt. She always did the best job on getting it all over her face, guess she was just feeling a little dry and needed a good moisturizer. The other night Ty was in such a good mood, he was dancing all over the place... and Shay was busy with her second favorite toy "bahlll" Sorry the next few pics are out of order, but I don't care enough to go and fix them all, oh well... this was Shay at the Westin pools. That same fun night of dancing lead to some star gazing, with his new binoculars. he said it was kinda hard to see the stars from inside... funny how that works isn't it! Shay pushing around her most favorite toy, the stroller Ty going down the westin slide. Shay had to wear Ty's rash guard, and loved it! A super beautiful day at Kalapaki, for Presidents Day BBQ. I still can't keep Shay from putting a few licks of sand in her mouth... oh well someday she will learn just how yucky the sand really is! This guy, makes these sand sculptures every now and then, We heard he was from Cali, but we still have not figured out if he lives on the island... but the funniest thing about it, he isn't hard to spot... while sporting his nice blue and black speedo... yuck, put some trunks on would ya, nobody want to see that really! But this was a shark eating a man, kinda crazy but hey, I don't think I could do as good of a job as he did! Baby Shay laying on the ground one night reading a paper, she thought it was the funniest thing!

So my sister will probably kill me but, I am super sad that I am not able to be there in person to see her cute new baby Boy. He was 8lb, and 21inches. And yes folks that is light red hair the cute little guy is sporting. Way to go Shell & Cody you little family is super cute! Love you and miss you. Give him a great big hug from me!

Ty's Birthday

Sorry, been a little busy getting things in order for New Beginnings for YW... Let me just tell you IT WENT FABULOUS! I am so lucky to work with Such amazing Leaders... our President, is seriously the best you can find! I am excited about the upcoming year. Anyhow.... back to the real post. Ty's birthday was Monday, He had a pretty good one, excited he went to the Dr.'s with croup and then the next morning went back for a double ear infection.... don't know how the Doc missed that one! oops oh well, he is feeling better, and so is sister after her second double ear infection. The HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOY! WHAT is it? Ty got a Big construction crane, which he loves... he also got binocluars that we can watch for whales. And Birds, and anything that bubba comes up with! As you can tell it was a hit at the beach. This is Ty with his friends. Shay has learned many new facial expresions... one of which we like to call "confussed face" I remember Ty making this exact same face. WE had a great time at the beach, with a camp fire, and hot dogs to roast... ahh what a perfect birthday celebration. Once we got home, we were greated with a HUGE cane spider in Ty's room. As I went to tuck him in and make sure he was asleep, I saw something lurking in the dark shadow on the wall, just above my Ty's head. I rushed out of the room to get nic, and something to kill it with.... Me with the broom trying to get the darn bugger... He was hard to find once we came back in the room, Nic spotted him on the dust ruffle, Got him, and Thankfully Ty slept through the whole thing, Lights on and us moving his bed back and forth! What a sleeper! It really was a good day, besides the Dr.s visits!!!

A little late.... but the California portion of our Xmas trip

After Utah with the fam and St. George with friends we went to Nic's fam in California. First up was a surprise (I found out later it wasn't a surprise because he saw my emails) B-day party with a few of Nic's friends. It was a little warmer in CA so we were able to play outside. Shay liked watching Ty ride the little car. She was only tall enough to watch through the railing of the deck. Pretty trees. Nic and Ty on a nature hike through Grammi and Poppy's yard. Its a beautiful place. Another Birthday party for Nic. Nic always has a "Birthweek" instead of a BirthDAY. On New Years Day Nic decided to run a race in Auburn that went up and down the American River Canyon. He wasn't feeling 100% but still decided to do the longest race, a 10-miler. Here's the start, Nic is on the far right in blue. This is the runners running their guts out... I couldn't tell who was who, since every race distance started at the same time. Nic said is was the hardest race he has done in a long time because it was up and down the side of a mountain. Nic was the 1st overall male.....but not 1st overall. Yes, that means he was beat by a girl (or "chicked" as male runners call it). This was a first but she is a professional athlete from Kenya who is training for the marathon in the Olympics and she only won by 3 seconds. Here we are at the Sacramento Airport right before our fun and long trip home. The kids did well on the airplane, it was just the layover that was long and we had to spend the night in Oahu because planes don't fly to our island after 10pm. This was Ty for most of the flight until he finally crashed, tell we got to Oahu. It was a fun vacation. Until next year.
