Say a Blessing for Me Mommy...

So the past 2 nights have not been very restful. Ty has had a cold all week and it broke into a fever and deep cough. So as I was laying in Ty's bed with him comforting him while his Motrin kicked in, he says this to me... say a blessing for me mommy, Heavenly Father come to help. Holy crap these kids are so smart. I told him I would love to say a prayer for him, so I scooped him up and brought him downstairs into our room, and while he sat on our bed with his arms folded we said a special prayer for Ty that he would feel better. After that, he snuggled right in, and fell asleep shortly after that. Oh and while he was laying there he says "his coming"...I love Children and there sweet spirits that keep us in touch with our Heavenly Father. Thanks Ty for being such a good example. So if you were wondering I did take him to the Dr. today, he says everything looks and sounds good, (no ear infection which is what i was worried about)just a bad cruppy cough, he gave us some Med. and it is only a 2 day dose... wow they really are getting smart these days with meds and kids... because after a few days, Ty hates taking more meds. Anywho we should be on the road to recover now!! YIPPY that means mommy gets to sleep again!

Heidi, I have the biggest lump in my throat right now that I can hardly swallow. I guess with hearing the news about the cousins, I have been very aware of how blessed I am as a mother and grandmother. My heart has broken for the mom and the kids. I am so grateful that my kids are teaching my grandchildren the gospel and about their Savior. I think our little ones are alot more perceptive to spiritual things than we give them credit for. Thanks hun for sharing. Make sure you write this down in your journal, and thanks for teaching him about our Heavenly Father.
