Life is So Precious....

We discovered on Sunday that the Life of little child is so dear and precious. Our little Shay gave us a little scare. While I was setting up for my primary class she decided she would stop breathing and turn BLUE. Yeah freak me out... Thankfully I was holding her, and she made a very unusual sound so I looked down at her and Yes She was a blueish gray. Luckily we have 2 ER Dr.s in our ward, and 3 nurses. I ran out of my class room and saw the one ER Dr at the end of the hall, I went yelling down the hall for him, saying "Mark something is wrong with Shay she isn't breathing." Either from my frantic look or my running towards him he dropped everything that was in his hands and took Shay right from me. By then she was breathing again, but still a very gray/blue color. She looked at her and asked me many questions. He determined it was either a mucus blockage, or she aspirated. He still wanted to check her out, so he escorted us to the ER, walked us right back into one of the rooms, and preceded to runs some tests on her. After they took a chest Xray they ruled out any neurological problems which was so good to her, and determined it was what his first thought was. Thanks heavens it happened at Church, and thank heavens for the Priesthood, and for the Lord's protection. As Nic and I drove back to the church we talked about life... and even though if our Shay did leave us we would know she was in the Lords hands and we would see her again. But I decided I wanted to be very selfish, and determine that I am not ready to let our little Shay leave us just yet. So my mothers day this year is one I am sure we will remember for years to come. Thank you Heavenly Father for watching over us that day!
