Mustard... Who would have thought?

So after my many visits to the Dr. this month they found out I didn't have mono... and what do you know and Antibiotic worked just like I asked for 5weeks ago. Yep that's right I suffered for a whole 6 weeks with the most horrendous sore throat I have ever had in my life. My glads were so swollen it was hard to breath at night, I had soars on my tong making it hard to even swallow my own saliva and then the last week before the meds I started to get swollen glands on the ruff of my mouth...and the pain went up into my ears. Now I know how little kids feel with and ear infection, no wonder they are moody. Anyways that is besides the mustard story... So Mustard... I don't know how we got on the subject but while I was at one of my visits with the Dr. and he told me that Mustard is excellent on burns. He pulls the heat and burn right out of it. So today I accidentally burned my finger on the stove so the thought came to me, hey I will try that out. And you know what it worked. The pain was gone in min. Its a little messy but it worked! No swelling, redness or anything, you can't even tell I was burned! Wow... now if I only would have known that when poor little Ty burned his hand when we lived in Vegas on our gas stove. That would have saved me from a lot of tears. So the moral of the Story, when you or your kids get burned USE MUSTARD!!!

I had no idea that mustard can do that, but i do remember laying on the green kitchen table with a mustard plaster on my chest when i was little... I remember mom and grandma murray and Jason lying next to me with one too. Weird! So glad you are feeling better:)

That is interesting, too bad I don't like mustard so I never have any around. Maybe I should get some just for the occasional burn. I'm so glad you finally for antibiotics, doctors are so frustrating sometimes.

Interesting about the mustard. I'll have to remember that.
