What a Weekend... Temple dedication, Prophet in person, Cultural celebration... And my Girls B-day

The Oahu temple was amazing... We took the kids a few weeks ago to the open house Ty was loving it. After we came out of the tour I asked Ty how he like it. He said he really liked it, and then I asked him how it made him feel. He said this "it made me feel happy, I felt like Jesus was standing right next to me." Ohh that made the trip totally worth making. To see my son have small experiences with feel the spirit, and knowing what he is feel is so rewarding. Another cute thing, was as I was on the plane with the Youth to go to the temple Cultural Celebration I had a good friend of mine tell me that her mom (she is the seminary teacher for our ward) asked a few of the young kids if they could tell her what Heaven Looks like. When it was Ty's turn, she said she asked the question to Ty and he looked at her with a very concerned face as said.... "I can't remember." Ahh again hold back the tears. To often we forget how close to the vail these young ones still are. I guess now it my duty to refresh his memory on what Heaven looks like. Temple history here This was our Stakes dance, the were the "Immigrants" section of the celebration... They did a wonderful job. IF you want to see clips from all the dances to to this Link It was so fun to see the reaction on the Youth as our Beloved Prophet President Monson entered the room. They were so excited all they could think to do was Yell and scream... I was so over come with their Joy that all I could to to react was cry... I know surprise surprise, since our family cries at everything.... The whole program was so neat, I think I went through about 10 tissues. President Eyring, so in heaven I think through the whole thing... he was on the end of his seat through the whole hour and a half show, face all a glow with joy. And then... Yes I didn't make the mother of the year award this year... I missed my baby girls' 2nd birthday since I was over at Oahu... and to top it off, I talked to her that morning, and was so rushed to get to where we needed to be, I forgot to tell her happy birthday. Ahh... Mom now I know how you felt. Shay has definitely been an amazing Joy in our life... she is very sweet, and will always love to give hugs, kisses, and just cuddles when ever you need it! Our family wouldn't be as blessed as it is now, if we didn't have our sweet ShayShay... and now she is 2... Time is going by way to fast! I love you sis, and Thank you for your sweetness! All in all... It was a very spiritual High weekend! I don't think I have felt the spirit so strong, as I did this weekend, in a very long time. It was much needed, and I hope to keep that spirit bringing bright in my heart for some time now!

Heidi,
It was so good to see you the other day. We had another wonderful vacation in the beautiful land of Kauai. You are one lucky girl to live there, but I a don't know how your Mum does it without those cute grandbabies close by.
Thanks for letting us use your favorite water toys.
