Super Saturday
Saturday started early at 5:00am. We headed off to Waimea for a 10k run. Nic did so good, even though he says he didn't, I was so proud of him. Ty loved waiting at the finish line for him eating his cherrios.
He kept looking for daddy to come around the corner...
And finding new things to show mommy.
Yeah daddy, go daddy, he was so excited to see daddy running to the finish line.
Yeah, Nic took 2nd over all. And first in his age group. Thats my runner.
The banyan tree that Ty and found when we went exploring while daddy took a rest waiting for awards.
Hummm whats over there??
Our first taste of a black sand beach. Its not totally black but it's really dark. It was super soft, and Ty loved the feel of it.
Us waiting an Hour to get the results and awards.
This is the new famous hat from grandma & grandpa, He loves it, and doesn't he look so cute!
Cheese.
The day went on to a fun time playing at the beach. And then a good nights rest.

Was there many racers?
The beach looks fab. and I love that tree very cool!
Which phone can I call you on?
Yay NIC! that is a fast 6 miles! Good job, give yourself a pat on the back, or better yet, go get you a rainbow shave ice! (with ice cream) I LOve that tree! it is so interesting. Ty is such a good boy. It looks like he had fun waiting for daddy and playing at the beach.
Nic,
Humility is great except when it comes to being able to run. Go ahead and enjoy the spotlight you deserve on this one. We wish we could have been there to cheer you on with Heidi and Ty.
Ty......read these words:
Go Dad Go!
Yikes! How did I become anomymous?
It's MOM!
How fun to run a 10K in Kauai! I am jealous. I would have joined you! That is awesome. Way to go 2nd placer. Way to support him Heids and Ty.
So this is kinda random, but I was talking to one of my good friends from freshman year (she lived across the hall) and I went to her blog and there you guys were!! I know ana lee really well and that is too funny that you all were neighbors!! I want to be a neighbor!!
Nic, wow I am so impressed. I totally admire people who run, (because I don't) What a great accomplishment. What is it like running in Kauai compared to all the other places you have raced? Is it easier, or harder since you are at sea level? What was your reward? I didn't know you were in training. We are so proud of you. Keep up the good work!
Loved the pictures!!
You are officially a local once you start running fun runs in the community! You guys are awesome! You take such fun pictures Heidi!! I love looking at your blog! Soak up some sun for me!!
